Big East Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Titans clash in quarterfinals

The Big East quarterfinals tip off on Thursday, and it’s expected to be a dogfight between the best teams in the conference.

The quarterfinals of the 2013 Big East tournament start on Thursday. The second round on Wednesday didn’t feature many surprises. Villanova stayed in the bubble picture by taking care of St. John’s, Cincinnati has all but punched their ticket after blowing out Providence, and Syracuse and Notre Dame both took care of business.

Nearly everyone left will be dancing next week, so if you’re looking for a great preview of the NCAA tournament, now’s the time to start tuning in.

Thursday, March 14

No. 1 Georgetown Hoyas vs. No. 9 Cincinnati Bearcats--noon, ESPN

No. 4 Pittsburgh Panthers vs. No. 5 Syracuse Orange--2:30 p.m, ESPN

No. 2 Louisville Cardinals vs. No. 7 Villanova Wildcats--7 p.m, ESPN

No. 3 Marquette Golden Eagles vs. No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish--9:30 p.m., ESPN

Friday, March 15

Semifinal Game 1--7 p.m., ESPN

Semifinal Game 2--9:30 p.m., ESPN

Saturday, March 16

Championship Game--8:30 p.m., ESPN
