ACC basketball tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Quarterfinal round kicks off Friday

Maryland and Virginia are still hanging on the bubble, and both face “must win” games in the ACC quarterfinals Friday.

USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 ACC tournament continues on Friday with the quarterfinal round. The first round went all chalk, and there haven’t been any surprises so far. Boston College, N.C. State, Maryland and Florida State all took care of business as the higher seeds in their respective match-ups.

There is some bubble intrigue remaining in this tournament. Maryland needs a lot of help to stay in the NCAA tournament picture, but they have an uphill road. They face Duke on Friday and SB Nation’s Chris Dobbertean has them as a “Next Four Out” team. Likewise, Virginia also needs a win or two to stay alive, and Dobbertean has them in the “First Four Out” category. It’s desperation time for both teams, which should make for some interesting basketball.

An updated bracket is available here.

Here’s the complete schedule and TV listings (all times Eastern):
