No. 5 Iowa State vs. No. 1 Kansas final score: Jayhawks dispatch Cyclones, move on to Big 12 finals
Kansas took care of Iowa State with little trouble and is now up for a Big 12 championship.

Iowa State managed to make this a game early. They jumped out to a 12-4 lead off the bat, and though the Jayhawks gained the lead and went into halftime up, 35-31, the Cyclones had a lot of positives to feel good about.
The wheels came off in the second half, however. Kansas started off with a 13-4 run and never looked back. Iowa State spent the rest of the game in desperate comeback mode and never found its rhythm again.

Jeff Withey and Elijah Johnson led the Jayhawks with 14 points each. Ben McLemore had a relatively quiet game, but he still helped out with 10 points and seven rebounds. On the Cyclones' side, Georges Niang led with 19 points.
Despite the loss, Iowa State is still in a good position for an NCAA at-large bid. The Cyclones will just have to do a little sweating on Selection Sunday. Kansas plays either Oklahoma State or Kansas State for the Big 12 championship and a shot at a No. 1 seed next week.
