Alabama vs. Florida final score: Gators rally past Crimson Tide, 61-51

Florida faced a 10-point deficit four minutes into the second half against Alabama on Saturday. That’s when Kenny Boynton took over.

Kenny Boynton scored 16 points, all of which came in a six-minute span in the second half, to lead the Florida Gators past the Alabama Crimson Tide, 61-51, in the 2013 SEC Tournament semifinals on Saturday. The Gators will face the winner of the other semifinal contest between the Vanderbilt Commodores and Mississippi Rebels in the tournament final on Sunday.

Florida trailed Alabama by 10 points four minutes into the second half, but Boynton took over, scoring 11 points during a 15-0 run by the Gators which gave them a 42-37 lead with 11:19 left to play. The Crimson Tide would not get closer than four points for the remainder of the game.

Patric Young added 13 points and nine rebounds for the No. 13 Gators (26-6). Trevor Releford finished with 12 to lead the Crimson Tide (21-12), who remain firmly on the bubble.
