SEC Tournament 2013 Championship: Game preview for Florida vs. Ole Miss

The Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels are both looking to improve their NCAA seed with a victory in the SEC tournament championship game.

The 2013 SEC tournament comes to a conclusion on Sunday, with the No. 1 Florida Gators taking on the No. 3 Mississippi Rebels.

The Gators won the SEC regular season championship outright, finishing 14-4, a full two games ahead of the Kentucky Wildcats, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss. Florida received a bye to the quarterfinals, and beat the LSU Tigers and Alabama to reach to the title game.

The Rebels finished in a three-way tie for second place in the SEC, but were seeded third in the tournament. Ole Miss defeated the Missouri Tigers and the Vanderbilt Comodores to earn their spot in the championship game.

Florida and Ole Miss played each other once this season, with the Gators winning 78-64 at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. Marshall Henderson had a big game for the Rebels, shooting 7-of-11 from the three-point line while scoring 25 points, but the rest of the team struggled. Erik Murphy and Mike Rosario both played well against Ole Miss, with Murphy shooting 5-of-6 from downtown.

The game will start at 1:00 p.m. ET, with ABC televising the game. The winner will receive an automatic invitation to the NCAA tournament, although both teams are expected to receive invitations regardless.
