SEC Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Gators look to add conference title to resume

The Florida Gators hope a SEC Tournament title will bolster their chances for a number one seed in the NCAA tournament, while Ole Miss is looking to keep their big dance hopes alive.

USA TODAY Sports

The Florida Gators will look to add a SEC tournament title to their regular season championship Sunday afternoon when they take on the number three seed Ole Miss Rebels in Nashville.

The Gators have cruised in their first two games of the tournament, beating LSU by 22 points in the quarterfinals and Alabama by 10 in the semifinals. A win in the finals would strengthen Florida’s bid to be one of the four number one seeds in the NCAA tournament, which was helped by Duke’s early exit in the ACC Tournament.

Meanwhile, a win would punch Ole Miss’ ticket to the dance. A loss would keep them on the tournament bubble. The third seeded Rebels pulled away from Vanderbilt in the second half of their semifinal match up after squeaking out a two point victory over Missouri in the quarterfinals.
