ACC Tournament 2013 Championship: Game preview for Miami vs. North Carolina

Miami and North Carolina will play for the ACC tournament title on Sunday. Here’s everything you need to know.

The Miami Hurricanes and North Carolina Tar Heels will face-off for the third time this season in the ACC championship game on Sunday.

Miami is looking for its first tournament title in school history and a shot at a No. 1 NCAA seed. The Canes rolled through the tournament after knocking off Boston College and N.C. State. They are led by star sophomore guard Shane Larkin (13.9 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 4.4 APG) and senior big man Kenny Kadji (13.6 PPG, 7.0 RPG). Larkin has been on fire at the end of the season, scoring 20 or more points in four out of the last six games.

North Carolina found itself in some bubble trouble earlier in the season, but they won eight out of their last nine games and are a lock for the dance. They popped Maryland's bubble on Saturday thanks to junior Reggie Bullock (14.3 PPG, 6.5 RPG) and sophomore James Michael McAdoo (14.5 PPG, 7.5 RPG). McAdoo has scored double-digit points for eight-straight games.

Miami swept North Carolina in the regular season, and in their last matchup, the Hurricanes made 15 three-pointers and destroyed the Heels 87-61. UNC has been playing much better since then and will have a home-court advantage in Greensboro. This rematch isn’t expected to be quite as one-sided.

Time and TV listings: 1 PM ET, ESPN/ACC Network

Location: Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, NC

Line: Miami by 3
