The NCAA Tournament is always one of the most lucrative draws in Vegas, and 2013 promises to be no different. Sports gambling expert R.J. Bell expects over $12 billion to be wagered on this year’s tournament alone. Meanwhile, the players are still going unpaid, but that’s a can of worms for another time.
NCAA Tournament 2013 odds: Louisville the early favorite to win it all
The first odds for the NCAA Tournament have been released, with Louisville the current front-runner.


Anyway, the tourney field was set on Sunday evening, and the oddsmakers wasted little time setting their lines. According to The Linemakers, the Louisville Cardinals, No. 1 overall seed, are the current favorites to win the tournament, with 9-2 odds. The Indiana Hoosiers are close behind at 7-1, followed by the Duke Blue Devils (8-1) and Florida Gators (8-1). The Gonzaga Bulldogs have the lowest odds out of all No. 1 seeds, with 12-1 odds at this time.
If you’re feeling either lucky, or crazy, or a little bit of both, Saint Mary’s, Davidson, Belmont, La Salle and Boise State all have 1,000-1 odds.
