Markel Brown scored 18 points, and the No. 15 Oklahoma State Cowboys had little trouble Saturday in a 78-65 home win over the Texas Longhorns.
No. 15 Oklahoma State vs. Texas final score: Cowboys roll, 78-65
Oklahoma State had little problem with Texas on Saturday.

The Cowboys are now 12-4 in Big 12 play, and they held on to their third-place standing in the conference through Saturday’s games.
Brown did a lot of his damage against the Longhorns shooting free throws, going 9-of-9 from the foul line. His 4-of-9 performance from the field seemed pedestrian, but one of those four makes was anything but:
Texas toiled through Saturday’s game as it has the rest of the season. The Longhorns are now 5-11 in conference play and are 13-16 overall, making them three games under .500 with two regular-season games to go. Texas has not finished a season under .500 since 1997-98, when it was 14-17 and 6-10 in Big 12 play under Tom Penders. Penders left Texas after that season, and Rick Barnes has been the Longhorns’ coach ever since.
