His numbers are a bit more modest than fellow standout mid-major big man Mike Muscala of Bucknell; Cohen had 14.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game this season. He was eighth in KenPom.com's offensive rating, using his developed post skills to rack up points efficiently for Davidson without garnering too much attention.
Still, scoring points will earn enough attention on its own, and Cohen has done that. He’s scored in double figures in 29 of Davidson’s 33 games this season. When he needs to, he can spread the floor a bit and exploit defenses with his shooter’s touch. He shot 38.7 percent from three-point range in 2012-13.
Cohen’s array of offensive skills makes him a tough matchup for anyone in the field, one that Davidson could ride to an upset or two in this year’s tournament.
