A top seed has never lost in the second round before, and Gonzaga (31-2) isn't likely to break that trend. Behind stars such as Kelly Olynyk and Elias Harris, the Bulldogs are a favorite to play into April.
Olynyk is a seven-foot Canadian who has been a man among boys, recording 17.5 points, seven rebounds and a block per game. Harris is a German star who plays on the front line and has a stat line of 14.9 points and 7.4 boards.
One big x-factor that can swing games for the Bulldogs is their excellent free throw shooting. As a team, the Zags hit over 70 percent from the line.
Southern is led by Derick Beltran and Malcolm Miller, each averaging a tick under 16 points, and a pair of guards who can get inside and shoot from the perimeter.
