NCAA men’s basketball tournament 2013: Game time, TV schedule for Butler vs. Bucknell

Butler is back in the NCAA Tournament, but faces a tough team and historical upset specialist in Bucknell.

USA TODAY Sports

The Butler Bulldogs are back in the NCAA Tournament, and they will begin their attempt at another March run on Thursday afternoon against Bucknell.

Butler, the No. 6 seed in the East region, made it to back-to-back NCAA title games in 2010 and 2011, but stumbled last year and missed the Tournament all together. They left the Horizon League for the Atlantic 10 this season, and made it all the way to the A-10 semifinals before losing to Saint Louis, 67-56. They’re led by former Arkansas Razorback Rotnei Clarke, who led the team with 16.7 points per game this season.

No. 11 seed Bucknell is used to playing the underdog when it comes to the NCAA Tournament. The Bison pulled off first-round upsets in back-to-back seasons in 2005 and 2006, including a spectacular 64-63 win over Kansas in 2005. However, this season Bucknell won the Patriot League title for the second time in three seasons, and are led by senior center Mike Muscala, who averaged 19 points per game this season while also becoming the program's all-time leading scorer.

The winner of this game will face the winner of No. 3 Marquette and No. 14 Davidson.

Game time, TV: Thursday, March 21, 12:40 p.m. ET, truTV

Location: Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY
