How to watch NIT Tournament online, TV coverage, radio and more

The National Invitational Tournament doesn’t get the enthusiastic coverage of the other, more popular postseason tournament, but it can actually be watchable at times. Seniors get their seasons extended, mid-majors look to raise their profile, and most of the teams are simply looking to have fun and hopefully get to play in Madison Square Garden during the final rounds. There are worse fates than playing in the NIT. Like playing in the CBI or CIT.

At any rate, the tournament kicks off on Tuesday and will be running through April 4. 32 teams will be competing to salvage something out of a disappointing season. ESPN is covering all the action on their flagship station, ESPN2 and ESPNU. In addition, every game will be streaming online at either WatchESPN or ESPN3 and played over the airwaves at ESPN Radio.

The NIT will never be as big as the Big Dance, but is there anything wrong with that? Give it a chance. It’s not like there’s anything else to watch in the middle of the week.
