March Madness bracket results 2013, Miami vs. Pacific: Hurricanes rout Tigers, 78-49

Miami had no problems with Pacific on Friday, jumping out to a huge halftime lead on the Big West champs before walking out of the Frank Erwin Center with a xx-point victory.

Durand Scott scored 21 points and Shane Larkin added 10 points and nine assists as the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes pounded the No. 15 Pacific Tigers, 78-49, on Friday in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

All of Larkin's points came in the opening half, during which he also dished out six assists in helping the Hurricanes to a 21-point halftime lead. Scott, who had only three points before halftime, exploded for 18 in the second half as Miami extended its lead to as many as 30 points.

Travis Fulton made six three-pointers and finished with 18 points for Pacific, which shot just 33.3 percent from the floor despite Fulton's hot hand. In contrast, Miami made 54.5 percent of its three-point attempts and shot 46.2 percent from the field overall.

Miami will face either Colorado or Illinois in the Round of 32 on Sunday. An updated East Region bracket can be found here.
