The No. 7 San Diego St. Aztecs knocked off the No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners, 70-55, to advance to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.

San Diego St. ground out a tough win over Oklahoma to earn a spot in the round of 32.


The two teams were neck-and-neck for most of the first half. Oklahoma pulled away with a 14-5 run, but SDSU came charging back to keep it close. The Sooners went into halftime up, 33-31.
San Diego St. started to take over in the second half, ripping off a 15-5 run at the end as the Sooners couldn’t buy a shot. They made only three field goals over the last 6:50 minutes.
Jamaal Franklin was the box score hero for the Aztecs, racking up 21 points and getting eight rebounds. James Rahon came off the bench to score 17 points. Romero Osby was a one-man army for Oklahoma, getting 22 points and becoming one of the only reliable scorers for the Sooners -- the rest of the team made only 14 of 43 field goals.
