NCAA men’s basketball tournament 2013: Game time, TV schedule for Duke vs. Creighton

The No. 2 Duke Blue Devils and No. 7 Creighton Bluejays advanced to the third round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament after winning early on Friday, setting up a meeting between the two teams for a spot in the Sweet 16.

Duke took care of business against Albany behind 49 combined points from Seth Curry and Mason Plumlee. The Blue Devils jumped out to an early 11-point lead and weathered a few surges from the Great Danes to avoid losing in the Round of 64 for the second consecutive season.

Creighton endured a back-and-forth affair against Cincinnati, putting together a couple of second-half runs to notch a three-point win over the Bearcats. Doug McDermott scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds but was whistled for a controversial flagrant foul down the stretch. Fortunately for the Bluejays, Cincinnati couldn't take advantage as the erratic Bearcats missed both free throws, helping Creighton win a second round game, as it did in last year's Big Dance.

Duke is usually expected to do big things in the NCAA Tournament, and that is no different this year, especially with the return of Ryan Kelly from injury. Kelly is one of five Blue Devils players averaging better than 10 points per game, while the duo of Curry and Plumlee provides a top-notch scoring threat, combining for more than 34 points per contest.
