March Madness 2013: Ohio State’s Aaron Craft tops Iowa State with buzzer beater

Ohio State blew a big second-half lead, but Aaron Craft came up big to send them to a fourth-straight Sweet 16.

Aaron Craft sent Ohio State to the Sweet 16 with a last-second buzzer-beating three-pointer against the Iowa State Cyclones on Sunday in a Round of 32 matchup. Craft was given a second-chance at a game-winner after his first miss was knocked out of bounds off the Cyclones. That set up Craft for this three after a Iowa State switched and went under a screen:

Iowa State had fought back from a 13-point second-half deficit with a 13-0 run, and even took the lead. Craft took a controversial charge on the previous possession to set up the game-winning shot with 0.5 left on the clock. The Cyclones couldn’t get a shot off at the end.

Ohio State has now won ten straight games and reaches the Sweet 16 for a fourth-straight time. More importantly for viewers, Craft and the Buckeyes have delivered the best finish of the tournament so far.
