Jordan Hulls injury: Indiana guard hurts right shoulder, leaves game

The Hoosiers may have to face Temple without one of their starting guards.

SB Nation

Indiana guard Jordan Hulls left the team's NCAA Tournament game against the Temple Owls in the first half with an apparent shoulder injury on Sunday. Hulls banged shoulders with Temple's Scootie Randall, then immediately grabbed the area. He went to the locker room shortly thereafter. The CBS broadcast reported that Hulls was getting treatment and isn't expected to return in the first half.

Here is the battle for the loose ball that led to the injury:

Hulls hadn’t scored and had missed his first two shots. He is a dangerous outside threat for the Hoosiers, having knocked down 46 percent of his threes on the year. Hulls is also a reliable ball-handler and avoids turnovers well.

The Hoosiers are locked in a tight battle with Temple, and it also has to deal with foul trouble. Star big man Cody Zeller is on the bench with two fouls and has been sitting out the final stretch of the first half.
