Miami Hurricanes senior center Reggie Johnson has a knee injury and the team confirmed he will not be traveling to Washington, D.C., for the Sweet 16 round.
Reggie Johnson injury: Miami center won’t travel to Sweet 16
Johnson is dealing with a knee injury and will not be traveling with the team to D.C.

The team did not specify the severity of Johnson’s injury, but there is no timetable for his return, and it’s uncertain if he will be ready to play should Miami reach the Final Four. It’s believed that he suffered the injury sometime in Miami’s win over Illinois in the round of 32.
Johnson was one of the team’s key big men, particularly on the glass. In just over 21 minutes per game, he averaged 7.0 rpg and 0.9 bpg.
With Johnson out indefinitely, the Hurricanes are expected to lean more on Kenny Kadji and Julian Gamble, and possibly give more minutes to freshman Tonye Jekiri, who didn't see much time on the court in his first season.
