In the opener, the George Mason Patriots will host the Western Michigan Broncos, a club which has won both of its CBI games in overtime.

To get another victory on Wednesday, the Broncos will rely heavily on 6'10 center Shayne Whittington, who was both their leading scoring (13.3 points per game) and rebounder (8.9 a contest) during the 2013 season. Whittington had a double-double in the Broncos CBI quarterfinal victory over Wyoming, scoring 16 points and adding 10 rebounds.

Meanwhile in the second semifinal, a pair of 23-win clubs will square off, when Santa Clara visits Wright State.

For Santa Clara to get the victory, it will need another big game from guard Kevin Foster. The senior is averaging 28.5 points per contest in CBI play and has scored in double-figures in each of the Broncos’ last six games.

Wright State will counter with a more balanced attack, featuring four players who averaged at least eight points per game this season.

Wednesday night’s semifinal winners will meet in a best-of-three format, beginning on April 1.
