CIT Tournament 2013 bracket results: Weber St. rolls into semis

Weber State and Oral Roberts played the lone CIT game of the night with the Wildcats taking a nine-point win at home to advance to the tournament’s semifinals.

The last spot in the 2013 CIT semifinals was taken Wednesday night when the Weber State Wildcats defeated Oral Roberts, 83-74 at home.

Each team had three players with 18 or more points, with Davion Berry pouring on a game-high 27 to lead the Wildcats. He also added 10 assists and six rebounds.

Shawn Glover and Damen Bell-Holter each had 19 in the loss for the Golden Eagles.

With the win, Weber State advances to face Northern Iowa, which clinched its semifinal spot with a win over Bradley on Tuesday in a clash of two Missouri Valley Conference teams. That game will be played Saturday at 8 p.m. on the campus of the Panthers.

East Carolina hosts Evansville at 5 p.m. Saturday in the other semifinal. East Carolina beat Loyola (Md.) on Tuesday while Evansville topped Canisius by a point to advance.

The winners of Saturday’s games will play for the championship on April 2.
