The No. 4 Syracuse Orange forced 11 turnovers and held the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers to a 36.8-percent mark from the floor en route to taking a 34-22 halftime lead on Thursday in the Sweet 16 of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

Indiana was unable to crack Syracuse's 2-3 zone defense in the majority of its possessions and struggled to defend at the other end of the court as the Orange made 14-of-30 shots and led by as many as 16 points in the opening half. The Hoosiers warmed up prior to the the break, as Christian Watford made a three-pointer with 1:29 remaining to cut the deficit to 11, but C.J. Fair converted a three-point play on the following possession to extend Syracuse's lead.
Michael Carter-Williams scored 12 points to pace the Orange while Brandon Triche pitched in eight. Cody Zeller has six points and seven rebounds for the Hoosiers.
The winner of this game will advance to the Elite Eight to face the No. 3 Marquette Golden Eagles, who dispatched of the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes, 71-61, earlier on Thursday.
