Florida Gulf Coast became the first No. 15 seed to ever advance to the Sweet 16 last weekend, following upset victories over No. 2-seeded Georgetown and No. 7-seeded San Diego State.
For the Eagles to pull off a third major upset, they'll need another strong game from point guard Brett Comer. The junior has been a star this March, averaging an NCAA Tournament high 12 assists per game, including 14 in Sunday's victory over San Diego State. Fellow guard Sherwood Brown has scored a combined 41 points in Florida Gulf Coast's two tournament wins.
And like its opponent, for Florida to pull off the victory the Gators will also need solid guard play, specifically from senior Mike Rosario. The former McDonald's All-American had one of his best games of the season in Florida's Round of 32 win over Minnesota, pouring in 25 points.
The winner of Friday night’s match-up will advance to Sunday’s regional final to take on the winner Kansas and Michigan.
Game time, TV: 9:57 p.m. ET, TBS
Location: Cowboys Stadium, Dallas, Texas
