Horizon League Tournament 2013 bracket: Valparaiso earns No. 1 seed for second straight season

The Crusaders haven’t made the NCAA tournament since 2004.

The Valparaiso Crusaders and Detroit Titans lead the field of the Horizon League tournament which kicks off Tuesday, but neither of the top seeds will play until the third round on Saturday.

Detroit was also the No. 2 seed in last year’s Horizon League tournament, and the Titans topped Valparaiso in the final to earn the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.

Valparaiso won the league outright by one game over Detroit with a 13-3 record in conference play.

Tuesday, March 12 - Championship Game

9:00 p.m ET: Game 6 Winner vs. Game 7 Winner - ESPN or ESPN2
