Ohio State vs. Wichita State score update: Shockers hold big lead, 35-22

Wichita State has Ohio State on the ropes, leading 35-22 at halftime. Do we have another Cinderella run left in this tournament?

The Wichita State Shockers are on the verge of yet another upset, leading the Ohio State Buckeyes, 35-22, at halftime. It's Ohio State's biggest halftime deficit of the season.

Ohio State started the game cold, missing its first seven field goals. Deshaun Thomas in particular has been slow in the first half, making only 4 of 13 field goals. Meanwhile, the Shockers started to pull away towards the end of the half, ripping off a 10-2 run to give them a double-digit lead.

Cleanthony Early leads the Shockers with eight points and 2 of 5 three pointers. Wichita State hasn't been the best on offense, making only 35.5 percent of its field goals, but the Shockers have been knocking down their threes, making 5 of 12 from deep. Ohio State, on the other hand, has been dreadful on offense, shooting 24.2 percent from the field. Thomas leads the Buckeyes with nine points.

Wichita State has been winning the glass battle, outrebounding the Buckeyes 23-15. The Shockers' defense has kept Ohio State off balance, rarely letting them find good looks. Malcolm Armstead and Carl Hall have been dominant in the paint, grabbing six and three rebounds, respectively. Hall added three blocked shots.

Wichita State is only 20 minutes away from knocking both the No. 1 and No. 2 seed out of the West region and making the Final Four for the first time since 1965.
