The Michigan Wolverines jumped all over the Florida Gators early in their Elite Eight matchup, starting the game on a 13-0 lead, and taking a 47-30 halftime lead. The Wolverines out-shot, out-rebounded, and out-hustled the Gators all half and are now 20 minutes away from their first Final Four appearance since the days of the Fab Five in 1993.
Florida vs. Michigan: Wolverines out to big lead at half
The Michigan Wolverines came out hot, jumped all over Florida, and take a 47-30 lead into the half.

With Trey Burke and Michigan decimating the Florida man defense, the Gators switched to zone for a time midway through the half, but it didn't help as Nik Stauskas got hot from beyond the arc. Stauskas ended the half with 19 points, going 5-of-5 from three.
A combo of swarming Michigan defense and poor Florida shooting forced the Gators to go 2-15 from the field to start the game and 12-of-29 on the half. Despite all their missed shots, Florida couldn’t get offensive glass, as they only notched 3 offensive rebounds and were out rebounded 21-13 overall.
Michigan will start the second half with a 17 point lead and the momentum. Florida must clamp down on defense and get their stars to step up on offense if they want to have a chance to come back in the second half and avoid their third straight Elite Eight loss.
