NCAA Tournament 2013 scores, Louisville vs. Duke: Cardinals rout Blue Devils, 85-63

The Louisville Cardinals are headed to the Final Four after running away from the Duke Blue Devils in the second half on Sunday.

The Louisville Cardinals used a 20-4 run in the initial part of the second half to cruise to an emotional 85-63 victory over the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The Cardinals overcame a serious injury to sophomore guard Kevin Ware in the first half to earn a spot in the Final Four for the second straight season. Ware broke his leg while defending a three-point shot from Duke's Tyler Thornton at the 6:41 mark in the first half, resulting in a lengthy delay. Duke scored six of the next eight points to take a three-point advantage when play resumed, but Louisville fought back with a similar run, led by eight points in the final six minutes of the half from Russ Smith, and entered the break with a three-point lead.

Louisville extended its lead to six points early in the second half, but Duke embarked on a 10-4 run to tie the game at 42 on Mason Plumlee's dunk at the 16:20 mark. That would be Duke's last field goal until Quinn Cook's layup with 8:05 remaining, as the Cardinals used several great plays by Peyton Siva during that span to break the game open.

Mason Plumlee led Duke with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Ryan Kelly finished with just seven points after missing a large chunk of the first half because of foul trouble.
