Horizon League Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Play begins Tuesday
The Horizon League kicks off its tournament on Tuesday, March 5 with Valparaiso and Detroit as the teams to beat.

Detroit and the top-seeded Valparaiso Crusaders won't play until the semifinals on Saturday, March 9, as long as they both get that far. Last season Detroit topped Valparaiso in the championship, 70-50, led by Ray McCallum, Jr. who hopes to return to the big dance this year. The two split their regular season series, with the visiting team winning each game.
Seeds four through nine begin play on Tuesday, with three-seed Wright State getting a bye into the second round. While Tuesday’s three games feature the lower seeds in the conference, several teams are capable of knocking off one of the favorites. Four-seed Green Bay defeated Detroit this season, as did eight-seed Cleveland State. Top-seed Valparaiso fell to six-seed Youngstown State and seven-seed Loyola.
