Indiana vs. Ohio State final score: Buckeyes spoil Senior Night in Indiana

Ohio State used a stifling, aggressive defense to top Indiana, 67-58, as yet another Top 10 team falls.

Another Top 10 team bites the dust. The Ohio State Buckeyes stymied the Indiana Hoosiers, 67-58, spoiling Senior Night for everyone in attendance in Bloomington.

It was a back-and-forth thriller for nearly the entire game -- nobody held a lead larger than four points in the first half -- but by the second half Ohio State’s defense started to take over. The Buckeyes frequently forced turnovers and steals and kept Indiana on its heels with a flurry of fast breaks. At one point, Indiana was down 11 points, its biggest deficit of the season. The Hoosiers could never find a rhythm, ending up with 12 turnovers on the night.

DeShaun Thomas was the Buckeyes' box score star, finishing with 18 points, eight rebounds and a block. Aaron Craft wasn't far behind with 15 points, four rebounds and four steals. On the Hoosiers' side, Cody Zeller led with 17 points in what might be his last home game at Indiana.

Indiana drops to 13-4 in the conference. While a deflating home loss, it’s not expected to affect the Hoosiers’ seeding much in the NCAA tournament. They won’t have much time to lick their wounds, though, as they travel to Michigan to finish the regular season Sunday.

As for Ohio State, this is quite the notch on their belt, as they get their fifth win against a Top 50 RPI team. They host Illinois in the regular season finale Sunday.
