By the second half, the Commodores appeared to be chipping away at the lead, but an 8-0 run quickly squashed those hopes as Florida used a barrage of three-pointers to bury their opponent. This game was over well before the final buzzer.
Florida shot 50% from the field, including an impressive 9 of 18 on three-pointers. Kenny Boynton, Patric Young and Erik Murphy all finished with double-digit points.
With the win, the Gators win only the fourth outright conference title in their history. They have a flawless resume and are heavy favorites to win the SEC tournament. A No. 1 NCAA seed is very much in reach.
