The Big Ten is unquestionably the best conference in college basketball this season. All things considered, it’s tough to remember a conference being so deep with quality teams in the last few years.
Big Ten standings 2013: Michigan moves within striking distance of top spot
Even with just two games on the schedule, the Big Ten standings got even more complicated on Wednesday night.


Two important games were scheduled for Wednesday night.
The No. 7 Michigan Wolverines, who began the day tied for third place with Michigan State and Wisconsin, defeated Purdue, 80-75.
The other game was between Minnesota and Nebraska. The Golden Gophers hit the skids about a month ago, but they’ve been playing better the past couple of weeks. They still fell to the Cornhuskers, 53-51.
