There were only two Big 12 games on the Wednesday night slate, but those games provided a more clear picture of the bubble teams involved.
2013 Big 12 basketball standings: Iowa State, Oklahoma get key wins
Iowa State and Oklahoma both won their respective games Wednesday night, putting themselves in better position for the upcoming tournaments.
The Iowa State Cyclones dominated the Oklahoma State Cowboys at home, 87-76, getting their 10th conference win and fourth win over a Top 50 RPI team. They’ve been on the right bubble for a while now, and a good showing at the conference tournament should make them locks.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma Sooners took care of their own business, knocking off the West Virginia Mountaineers, 83-70. Their resume isn't as impressive, with only two Top 50 wins, but they're trending in the right direction.
