2013 Horizon League Tournament schedule and bracket: 2nd round begins Friday

The second round of the Horizon League tournament kicks off on Friday. Top seeds Valparaiso and Detroit are still waiting their turn.

After a two-day break, the Horizon League conference tournament resumes on Friday with the second round. Wisconsin-Green Bay and Illinois-Chicago will face each other after dispatching of their first round opponents on Tuesday. Wright State got a break from the first round, and they will be facing Youngstown State, coming off a thrilling last-minute win over Loyola-Chicago.

The first round was hosted at the campus sites of the higher seeds, but for the second round and semifinals, the games will be held on Valparaiso’s campus, a perk of being the No. 1 seed. Valpo and Detroit are still waiting to play, and they will know their opponents after Friday’s games.

Here’s the complete schedule and TV times (all times Eastern):

Friday, March 8 (Quarterfinals)

No. 3 Wright State Raiders vs. No. 6 Youngstown State Penguins (Game 4) - 6 p.m. - ESPN3

No. 4 Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix vs. No. 5 Illinois-Chicago Flames (Game 5) - 8:30 p.m. - ESPN3

Saturday, March 9 (Semifinals)

No. 2 Detroit Titans vs. Game 5 winner (Game 6) - 6 p.m. - ESPNU

No. 1 Valparaiso Crusaders vs. Game 4 winner (Game 7) - 8:30 p.m. - ESPNU

Tuesday, March 12 (Finals)

Game 6 winner vs. Game 7 winner - 9 p.m. - ESPN
