Norfolk State wrapped up the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference regular season title on Thursday during a busy night of action in the conference.

Norfolk State entered the game against North Carolina A&T undefeated in conference play, and it managed to hold on in a low-scoring game, 55-48, to take home the regular-season title. The Spartans are heavy favorites in the upcoming conference tournament.

Another intriguing matchup was between North Carolina Central and Hampton. Hampton made it closer than expected, but the Eagles came out on top, 68-64, to lock up the No. 2 seed in the tourney.

In other action, South Carolina State came back to beat Delaware State, 62-60; Coppin State knocked off Bethune Cookman, 69-61; Morgan State took care of Florida A&M, 78-67; and Savannah State destroyed Maryland-East Shore, 71-54.
