Ohio Valley Conference Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Semifinals set for Friday

The top four seeds remain alive for Friday’s semifinals.

The semifinals of the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference men’s basketball tournament kick off at 7 p.m. ET Friday at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

Top-seeded Belmont will play No. 4 Tennessee State at 7 p.m. on ESPNU. It will be Belmont’s first game of the tournament. Tennessee State advanced to the semis after knocking off No. 5 Morehead State, 88-75, on Thursday night.

In the other semifinal game, No. 2 Murray State plays No. 3 Eastern Kentucky at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN3. Like Belmont, Murray State is playing its first game of the tournament. Eastern Kentucky advanced to the semifinals by beating No. 6 Southeast Missouri State, 84-69, on Thursday night.

The winners of Friday’s games will play each other in the championship game on at 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2.

In last year’s Ohio Valley Conference men’s basketball tournament, No. 1 Murray State defeated No. 2 Tennessee State, 54-52, in the championship game.
