The No. 19 Oregon Ducks are trending in the wrong direction, losing 72-62 to the Utah Utes to close out the Pac-12 regular season.
Oregon vs. Utah final score: Ducks continue late-season swoon, lose to Utes 72-62
Oregon enters the Pac-12 tournament with the wrong momentum after losing the season finale to Utah.

Utah (13-17, 5-13 Pac-12) pulled ahead quickly, sinking shots at will and never letting Oregon (23-8, 12-6) get in rhythm. The Utes went into halftime up 44-30 and held off a minor surge by the Ducks in the second half to pull off the upset. A 10-2 run at the end effectively sealed the game.
The Utes were on fire all day, shooting 57.7 percent of their field goals. Oregon shot for 40.4 percent. Four Utes finished with more than 10 points, and Jason Washburn led the way with 20 points and 12 rebounds. On Oregon's side, E.J. Singler led the team with 21 points.
Oregon’s loss coupled with UCLA’s win over Washington gave the Bruins the regular season Pac-12 title and No. 1 seed heading into next week’s league tournament. Between this loss and a Thursday night drubbing by Colorado, the Ducks are in a late-season tailspin. They’re still an NCAA lock, but they’ll need to get their momentum back in the conference tournament.
