The N.C. State Wolfpack continued its roster hemorrhage on Monday. After losing Lorenzo Brown and C.J. Leslie to the NBA Draft, freshman guard Rodney Purvis confirmed that he is transferring out of the university.
Rodney Purvis to transfer out of N.C. State
Freshman guard Rodney Purvis is transferring after just one season at N.C. State.

Purvis spent just one season with the Wolfpack, and evidently was not happy with his playing time. He put up an average of 8.3 ppg and 2.4 rpg while playing in 25.5 minutes a game.
Purvis has not made any indication of which school he is attending next, but CBS Sports’ Jeff Goodman reports that UConn is expected to be in the mix for the 6’3, 195-pound guard.
This is the latest in a mass exodus for N.C. State, which is now without its entire starting five from the beginning of the season. In addition to Brown and Leslie bolting for the NBA, they have also lost Richard Howell and Scott Wood to graduation. Coach Mark Gottfried will have a tough reloading job ahead of him over the summer.
