Trey Burke will declare for NBA draft, according to report

Trey Burke will take his game to the NBA after a phenomenal sophomore season.

Michigan Wolverines point guard Trey Burke will forgo his junior and senior seasons and enter the NBA draft, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Burke is expected to make an announcement on Sunday.

Burke led the Wolverines to the 2013 NCAA Tournament championship game and garnered a sweep of the national player of the year awards, earning Wooden, Naismith, Robertson, AP and Sports Illustrated honors. He averaged 18.6 points and 6.7 assists per game for Michigan as a sophomore after notching 14.8 points and 4.6 assists per contest in his freshman season.

In a losing effort against Louisville in the title game, Burke scored 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting despite missing 14 minutes in the opening half due to foul trouble. Burke was held to single digits in scoring in just two games during the 2012-13 season, both of which came in the NCAA Tournament.

Burke is expected to be a lottery pick in the upcoming draft.
