The Atlantic 10 is expected to add Davidson as a member, according to a report from Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports. The Wildcats have a lengthy history with their current league, the Southern Conference, but realignment has hurt the stability of the SoCon. Appalachian State and Georgia Southern are leaving for the Sun Belt, and College of Charleston is headed to the Colonial Athletic Association.
Davidson reportedly set to join Atlantic 10
Conference realignment rolls on; Davidson is reportedly making a move from the Southern Conference to the A-10.

The A-10 also has seen some defections -- Xavier and Butler bolted for the Big East -- and with more departures on the horizon, it is actively searching for new members aside from Davidson. The Wildcats would most likely become members in 2014, according to Goodman.
The Wildcats have won 20 games or more in a season seven times in the last 10 years and they reached the NCAA tournament five times over that span. They are coming off a 26-8 campaign, as well as their second consecutive conference title.
