NIT bracket and schedule 2013: Semifinalists head to Madison Square Garden
Baylor, BYU, Maryland and Iowa will take to New York City to decide the champion of the 2013 National Invitational Tournament with the semifinals getting underway on Tuesday.

Although all of these teams would have rather been in the NCAA Tournament, a trip to the world's most famous basketball arena is not a bad consolation prize. Both semifinal games will be aired on ESPN2. The NIT championship game is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET on Thursday and will be broadcast on ESPN.
Semifinal 1 - Baylor vs. BYU, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN2
Baylor (21-14, 9-9 Big 12), a No. 2 seed in its bracket, advanced to the semifinals with a 79-68 win over Providence. They will face BYU (24-11, 10-6 WCC), a No. 3 seed that easily knocked off top-seeded Southern Mississippi 79-62 in its quarterfinal game.
Semifinal 2 - Maryland vs. Iowa, 9 p.m., ESPN2
Maryland (25-12, 8-10 ACC) advanced to the semifinals as a No. 2 seed with a wild 58-57 victory over No. 1 seed Alabama. The Terrapins will face Iowa (24-12, 9-9 Big Ten), the third seed in their region, who defeated Maryland’s ACC rival Virginia, 75-64 in the quarterfinals. The Terrapins lost both their regular season games against UVA.
