Mike Moser will play his final season of college basketball with Lorenzo Romar and the Washington Huskies, according to a report from Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports. He will be eligible to play immediately, as he is expected to graduate this summer.

The Washington Huskies could be adding a big piece to their frontcourt for next season.

Moser was viewed as a potential dark horse candidate for national player of the year honors this past season with UNLV. He then dislocated his elbow early in December, which kept him out for a full month. When Moser returned for conference play, he clearly was not 100 percent healthy and saw his playing time decrease because of it.

Moser averaged 7.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists with the Runnin’ Rebels this season. In 2011-12, he averaged a double-double with 14 points and 10.5 rebounds a night.
Assuming the 6'8 forward does transfer to Washington, he will immediately provide a boost to a Huskies frontline that has lacked offensive punch in recent years. After missing out on five-star freshman Aaron Gordon this past week, coach Romar knew he needed to act quickly to help lessen the blow of losing seniors Abdul Gaddy, Aziz N'Diaye and Scott Suggs.
Prior to transferring to UNLV, Moser spent his freshman season at UCLA.
