The Wichita St. Shockers continued to take advantage of fouls, as Fred Van Fleet made three of four free throws to keep the Shockers ahead of the Louisville Cardinals. Wichita State is already in the double bonus with just over 11 minutes to go.
Wichita State vs. Louisville score update: Shockers holding on to 55-51 lead
Louisville is trying to make this a competitive game, but Wichita State still holds the lead with less than eight minutes left.
The Cardinals aren't going away, however, thanks to their bench players. Luke Hancock used a pair of beautiful layups and Chane Behanan drained four free throws to extend Louisville's run to 12-3 and bring them within one possession. But Wichita State still holds the lead, and a three-pointer from Tekele Cotton put them up by six.
Fouls are starting to become a concern for the Shockers. Malcolm Armstead and Cleanthony Early are both sitting on their third fouls.
The Shockers lead 55-51 at the under-eight timeout. Do they have another stunning upset left in them? Stay tuned.
