The Michigan Wolverines are still trying to figure out the zone defense, failing to get many good shots off. Meanwhile, the Syracuse Orange are attempting to slow the pace down, content to let their defense control the tempo of the game.

Michigan used a handful of fast breaks to take a small lead over Syracuse.
However, the Wolverines aren't going away yet. Caris LeVert came off the bench to drain a three, and Mitch McGary had a brilliant pass to Tim Hardaway Jr. for the easy layup, giving Michigan a three-point lead.
Michigan leads 20-17 at the under-8 TV timeout. The key for the Wolverines will be to keep up the fast pace and don't let Syracuse get their defense. It also wouldn't hurt to get Trey Burke going, who still hasn't scored any points yet.
