Michigan vs. Louisville score update, NCAA title game: Spike Albrecht leading Michigan to 26-19 lead at under-8 timeout

Welcome to the Spike Albrecht Variety Hour.

Michigan's Spike Albrecht entered the national championship game averaging 1.8 points per game, and the Wolverines' backup point guard had 12 in the first 12 minutes of the title game. He's led Michigan to a 26-19 lead over the Louisville Cardinals with 7:45 to play until halftime.

Albrecht is 4-of-4 from the floor and 3-of-3 from deep.

As Albrecht started to steal the show and the Wolverines took a 20-15 lead, Louisville's Luke Hancock stalled the Wolverines' momentum. He drew a foul on a 3-point shot, making two of his three attempts, and had a steal for the Cardinals on their next possession. Louisville did not convert, committing their first turnover with just over 10:30 to play in the half.

Michigan took its biggest lead at 26-17 before a Chane Behanan dunk closed the gap to 26-19.
