The Connecticut Huskies and Louisville Cardinals played for the national championship in 2009, and they'll meet again Tuesday for a shot at the 2013 title in New Orleans.
Women’s NCAA Tournament championship 2013: Game preview, TV schedule for Connecticut vs. Louisville
UConn is a familiar face for the title game, but Louisville is appearing in just its second title game. That was in 2009, when it lost to ... UConn.

The Huskies earned their eighth trip to the national championship game with an 83-65 win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday. Before Sunday's national semifinal, UConn was 0-3 against the Fighting Irish this season in three close games.
The Cardinals aren't surprising now that they're here, but any search for someone who picked them to make it this far would likely return no results. The No. 5-seeded Cardinals topped the Baylor Bears, the tournament's No. 1 overall seed, in the Sweet 16 before beating a pair of No. 2 seeds -- the Tennessee Volunteers and the California Golden Bears -- to make it to Tuesday's title game.
As members of the Big East, the two teams played each other once during the regular season. The Huskies took a 72-58 home win over Louisville on Jan. 15. Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley each led UConn with 16 points that night.
The championship game tips off Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and is available to stream on WatchESPN.
