Vanderbilt Commodores point guard Kedren Johnson is no longer enrolled at the university, Jeff Lockridge of The Tennessean reports. He's the second player from the program to depart this week after wing Kevin Bright signed a professional contract in Germany.

Johnson’s the second player to leave the Commodores program on Monday.

While school officials confirmed Johnson no longer plays for the Commodores and isn’t currently enrolled, he offered a different interpretation of the situation. The junior guard told Lockridge his predicament is related to student conduct, referring to his current absence as a “suspension” that “is not forever.”
Johnson added he plans to release an official statement through the university with additional details.
Expected to be a key part of the team next season after undergoing shoulder surgery during the offseason, it’s now unclear what his status is for this fall. After leading Vandy in scoring and assists last season on a below-.500 team, Johnson’s presence would be sorely missed.
