The 6’5, 180-pound guard is ranked No. 27 in the class of 2014 by Rivals and has already turned down offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Duke, Mississippi and North Carolina. Booker later added on Twitter that the five remaining schools are in no particular order (outside of alphabetical, apparently).

Booker averaged 29.7 points per game as a junior last year, earning Mississippi’s Gatorade Player of the Year honors in the process.
Booker’s father, former NBA player Melvin Booker, told GulfLive’s Creg Stepheson that he doesn’t expect his son to make his decision at any time past November, which would likely coincide with the NCAA’s early signing period beginning on Nov. 13.
The younger Booker echoed his father’s sentiments in the interview, seeming ready to sign as soon as he can.
“Whenever I feel like the right school is the right school, that’s when I’ll (commit and sign),” Booker said. “I feel like if a school wants me bad enough, they’ll make it happen. The schools that are recruiting me right now have told me that if I really want to go there, they have a spot for me.”
Booker has connections to three of the five schools. He grew up in Grand Rapids, Mich., and his father played basketball at Missouri. Booker plans on attending Big Blue Madness, Kentucky’s first practice, and has reportedly scheduled an official visit with Michigan State.
He will take part in the Under Armour Elite 24 game on Aug. 24. Previous participants in that annual game include John Wall, Kevin Love, Tyreke Evans and Kyrie Irving.
