Minnesota sunk Ohio State to a season-low, handing the Buckeyes their third straight loss behind a huge game from Eliott Eliason. The junior center had 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds as the Gophers won, 63-53. The Buckeyes held their own through much of the game, but faltered down the stretch. Down five with under six minutes in regulation, Ohio State went four-and-a-half minutes without a field goal as the Gophers pulled away. This is the first time Ohio State has lost three straight games since Feb. 2009.
College basketball scores: Minnesota hands No. 11 Ohio State 3rd straight loss
The Buckeyes have stumbled out of the gate during Big Ten play, suffering their first three-game losing streak in five years.

No. 1 Arizona 91, Arizona State 68
Seven Arizona players -- including all five starters -- got into double digits Thursday, blowing past their in-state rivals. Nick Johnson led the way with 17, hitting 3-of-5 three-point attempts. The Wildcats, now 18-0 and 5-0 in the Pac-12, will face a hobbled Colorado team next Thursday.
Connecticut 83, No. 17 Memphis 73
DeAndre Daniels scored 23, but it was Shabazz Napier who hit three huge buckets down the stretch as UConn got a big road win in Memphis. The game was close until the Huskies exploded in the last five minutes, with two of Napier's shots well contested by Memphis. In conference play, the ends of games can often be decided by which team has the best player -- on Thursday, that Napier was that guy.
No. 18 Louisville 91, Houston 52
The Cardinals put up 57 points in the first half alone, blowing out the Cougars in the KFC Yum! Center. Wayne Blackshear led Louisville with 23 off the bench, the first time he hasn’t started this season. Houston managed to shoot just 31 percent, which paled in comparison to the 52 percent the Cardinals shot. Louisville is now 4-1 in conference play, trailing only Cincinnati in the American Athletic Conference.
No. 25 UCLA 69, No. 21 Colorado 56
The Bruins handled Colorado in Boulder, handing their Buffs their first home loss of the season. On an off shooting night, Jordan Adams managed 14 points and 13 rebounds for UCLA. Norman Powell led the Bruins with 19, matched by Josh Scott of Colorado. The Buffaloes were playing their first game without starting guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who tore his ACL in Sunday's loss at Washington.
Vanderbilt 78, Missouri 75
The Commodores squeaked by Missouri at home, getting their first win in SEC play. Rod Odom dropped 24, shooting 6-of-13 from behind the arc. The Tigers -- who were just outside the national rankings -- will slip further down the ranks and are in danger of being irrelevant in the conference championship race.
