After some December hiccups and the loss of a preseason all-American, No. 21 Michigan has seemingly caught fire. The Wolverines defeated No. 10 Iowa at home on Wednesday, 75-67, for their eighth consecutive win and second straight against a top-10 team. Michigan also beat then-No. 3 Wisconsin on Jan. 18.

The Wolverines lost Mitch McGary to injury in December after a loss to Arizona; since then, the team has been perfect.
Michigan led for the entire second half Wednesday, buoyed by a game-high 26 points from Nik Stauskas. He shot 8-for-14 from the field and 4-for-9 from three in a game where neither team shot well.
Michigan is now 6-0 in the Big Ten and will face the only other conference team without a conference loss, No. 3 Michigan State, in East Lansing on Saturday night.
Richmond 58 No. 13 UMass 55
The Minutemen’s penchant for playing close games finally came back to bite them on Wednesday. Kendall Anthony scored 21 points to lead Richmond to the three-point upset victory at home, snapping a six-game winning streak for UMass. In those six games, however, the Minutemen have won by an average of just five points, including an overtime win over Providence and a one-point squeaker over A-10 cellar-dweller George Mason.
Wooden Award candidate Chaz Williams struggled from the field Wednesday, shooting just 2-11 and scoring eight points. Cady Lalanne had 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Minnesota 81 No. 8 Wisconsin 68
It’s only been a week, but it seems like a month since Wisconsin was among the nation’s final unbeaten teams. Since reaching 16-0 on Jan. 8, the Badgers have lost three in a row, beginning with a close loss at Indiana on Jan. 14. Wisconsin now joins Ohio State as a pair of Big Ten teams to jump out to hot starts only to now be mired in an extended losing streak.
In this one, the Badgers allowed Minnesota to shoot nearly 60 percent for the game, and Deandre Mathieu and Maurice Walker scored 18 points each for the Gophers.
Minnesota guard Austin Hollins had 11, but these two will be remembered most:
Sam Dekker had 20 for Wisconsin, who will look to snap its losing streak on Saturday at Purdue.
No. 18 Duke 67 Miami 46
The Blue Devils appear to have put their early-January woes behind them. They cruised to their third consecutive win and their second straight by more than 20 points with a road win over Miami.
Jabari Parker recorded his first double-double of the calendar year with 17 points and 15 rebounds, powering Duke to a 42-28 advantage on the glass. Rodney Hood added 12 as the only other Blue Devil in double figures. Donavan Kirk had 11 to lead Miami.
No. 5 Wichita State 70 Illinois State 55
The Shockers made it a perfect 20-0 with another double-digit win in the Missouri Valley Conference. Cleanthony Early, who was named to the Wooden Award Mid-Season Top 25 earlier Wednesday, showed why he's one of the best players in the country with 23 points (6-9 from three) and 10 rebounds.
But while Early led Wichita State in the boxscore, Tekele Cotton came up with the game's most thrilling moment. If you were wondering, that's John Jones from Illinois State who had the misfortune of standing in the way:
No. 25 Oklahoma 77 TCU 69
The Horned Frogs gave Oklahoma a scare, but the Sooners prevailed at home behind a 9-0 run in the final minutes. The dagger came with Oklahoma up seven with just over a minute left. TCU elected not to foul, trusting its defense to get a stop and keep hope alive. But with the shot clock running down, Ryan Spangler drained his only three-point attempt of the game to put the Sooners up 10 with 35 seconds left. Spangler had only attempted eight threes this season coming into Wednesday.
Spangler finished with 13 points and 16 rebounds, and Buddy Hield led the Sooners in scoring with 16. Kyan Anderson had 23 for TCU in the losing effort.
No. 12 Louisville 86 South Florida 47
The Cardinals continue to humiliate the lower tier of the American Athletic Conference. Their 39-point win on Wednesday was their third of 25 or more points in conference play and their sixth AAC victory overall.
Louisville led by 23 at halftime and never looked back, with five players scoring in double figures. Wayne Blackshear made three out of his four three-point attempts to contribute to his game-high 16 points. From here, the Cardinals have eight days off before hosting Cincinnati in a game that will likely decide first place in the AAC.
No. 19 Saint Louis 76 Duquesne 72
We're closing in on two months since Saint Louis last lost a game, but the Billikens came close to dropping one on Wednesday. Duquesne led, 72-70, with 50 seconds left before Austin McBroom hit a three to put Saint Louis up for good. The Billikens then made three out of four free throws to ice the game and narrowly avoid an upset on the road.
Jordair Jett had 10 points ,11 assists and four steals as one of five Saint Louis players to score in double figures. Grandy Glaze had 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds. As a team, Saint Louis was 10-19 from three, led by three each from McBroom and Mike McCall Jr.
No. 7 San Diego State 75 San Jose State 50
Xavier Thames scored 15 points and Josh Davis had 10 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Aztecs in a game that was never in doubt. San Diego State used an 11-2 run early to take control and never trailed en route to a blowout over San Jose State, which is now 0-7 in the Mountain West.
The Aztecs didn’t have their best shooting night, making just 39 percent from the field and shooting 2-14 from three, but tough defense was all they needed Wednesday. They held the Spartans to just 33 percent shooting and forced 18 turnovers. San Diego State also won the rebounding battle, 46-36.
