After a tough loss to Wisconsin, No. 20 Iowa bounced back to demolish Northwestern, 93-67. Four Hawkeyes were double-digit scorers, led by Aaron White with 18.

Iowa improves to 2-1 in Big Ten play as Aaron White notches a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.


Iowa never trailed, opening the game on a 10-0 run. White finished with a double-double, collecting 10 rebounds in addition to his scoring total. Melsahn Basabe chipped in 16 in the win. The Hawkeyes dominated the rebounding battle, grabbing 41 boards to Northwestern's 28.
Northwestern got 18 points from JerShon Cobb, who added seven rebounds to his effort. The Wildcats were credited with just four assists in the game, a staggeringly low number.
Iowa head coach Fran McCaffrey did not coach this game, as he is serving a one-game suspension for his outburst and subsequent ejection the Hawkeyes’ loss to Wisconsin Sunday.
MCaffrey will return for a critical Big Ten matchup, as the Hawkeyes travel to Columbus to face No. 3 Ohio State on Jan. 12.
